LifeI stumbled upon a Facebook event about someone's memorial service today. Out of curiosity, I clicked on the link, only to find that this person who recently passed away was a young Melbourne Uni graduate, who looked like such a nice and sweet girl. From the wall posts on the event page, it's obvious that she was loved by many. And even though I have no idea who this girl is, stumbling across this really made me feel so sad. I think she was a music student, and for someone who had so much potential to go so early is so saddening. Tons of similar youths probably pass away too early I know that. But I guess it's different when this person is a friend of someone you know. It just makes it a little more personal. And it's not everyday that something like this happens to people/ friends of people we know.
Such is life. Full of uncertainties. Which is why my fave quote of all time is...
'Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today'. There's really not much point in this post. Just felt like writing a few words about this. Every once in a while, I come across some moments that are just so powerful it makes me sit down in silence and ponder about life. And this is one of them so.

Sorry I have no written here in a while but ever since I got back to Perth, life has been so hectic. The first couple of weeks were spent catching up with friends and adjusting back to uni life. And now it's week 3 and uni is in full swing. Assignments have started and I have some sort of deadline to meet everyday, whether it be preparations for tutes or applying for vacation/grad work. But life is good. I am now living in Memorial Wing in college, which basically means we get a house with 3 rooms. I'm staying with Badar and Sherif. My room is designed like a hotel room and I get a sweet bathroom too. During my first few days back, it felt as if I was on vacation =D Semester 1 2010 has got off to a good start. Let's hope this will be a better semester than the last!
ps: I have a very cute Russian lecturer who giggles at absolutely everything and a very eccentric Investment Analysis lecturer who is just plain awesome. Loving my lectures :)

Also, thanks to a few of my friends who are applying for/ have applied for exchange to the States, I've been dreaming of New York again. Just for fun, I browsed through
NYU Stern's business school website yesterday. And let's just say that it did nothing but intensify my longing to go to the Big Apple. Also, I got an awesome fish eye poster of NYC today. Must.get.to.NY.somehow!
New York
Concrete jungle where dreams are made of
There's nothin' you can't do
Now you're in New York
These streets will make you feel brand new
Big lights will inspire you
Let's hear it for New York, New York,

Toodles for now!
